I will cheerfully guide you through the exciting, painstaking process of creating your self-published book, preparing it in paperback or hardcover printing, print-on-demand (POD) or ebook format. I can also refer you to talented, reliable editors, photographers and illustrators, as well as local printers or POD resources.

The Process:

After we determine the scope of the project, I’ll read your final edited manuscript and talk with you about your ideas and preferences for the book’s design. I’ll then create 2-3 cover concepts and interior sample pages—showing typography, page layout and images—for you to choose from. After i’ve refined the design and it has been approved by you, I’ll incorporate the manuscript into the approved design. I’ll work with the copy editor to finalize the layout and catch any errors that remain. Then I’ll prepare the book in the format(s) you prefer and shepherd it through to completion, examining proofs and press checking to make sure everything is correct.
